Intercepted Enemy Communications

I love being anonymous... then the Liberal Party can't take me off their e-mail list! Because if they did, I wouldn't get to see their hilarious and desperate messages like this one!

Dear Liberal Friend,
LOL... now THAT'S a funny one!

Week three of the election campaign and momentum is building!
Momentum is easy to build when you're going downhill.

There are 30 million reasons to vote Liberal.
Ammm, yea, that one's been trashed that one enough already, won't touch it...

The opposition parties threw us into this early election. It normally takes four years to build an election readiness fund. We need your support now to make sure we form the next government.
Funny, it seems the Conservative Party had no trouble doing this over the last three quarters...

Please make a gift today to fund a winning campaign. Your gift is eligible for a generous tax credit. Example: a gift of $100 could entitle you to a 75% tax credit. We need to raise $1 million through this email effort before December 31st.
Why do you need $1,000,000 by Dec. 31? Could it be because a cheque for $1.14 million just recently cleared? Or perhaps it bounced? (wouldn't that be a hoot! LOL!) Or maybe so that you can send another message Jan 1, 2006, asking people to donate again as it's a new tax year?

I love opening the enemy's mail.

Sounds alot like those desparate appeals by the whacko televangelists from the early to mid eighties, looking to raise money for "faith based" theme parks, striking fear into the grannies tuning in, that if they didn't open their purses, they would not be on the "winning team".

Scary similarity! Can you sense the desparation or what?

Well, when it is the first time going into an election without stealing the taxpayer's money to pay for it, I'm sure it has taken them off guard. I understand that Paul Martin is rather wealthy...if so, and if he believes in the Liberal party, why doesn't he pay for his own election campaign?

"I love opening the enemy's mail."

Maybe if we stopped thinking of each other as the enemy we might actually start getting somewhere.

Drew, the Liberal Party is the enemy, not my fellow Canadians. ;-)

Luke, the $5000 per person donation cap is what's stopping him... and he had Jean C. to thank for that. (some say that he brought it in just to stick it to Martin...)
