ACCOUNTABILITY ACT TABLED
John Baird just tabled the Accountability Act in the House of Commons! (I love webcasts) The NDP just gave it's cautious support of the Bill... and the Liberals just announced they will be "examining it closely, as Her Majesty's Loyal Opposition".

Prediction:
The NDP will get some kind of small ammendment into the Federal Accountability Act and within a few months (certainly by the next election) they will be referring to it as the NDP's accountability act or Ed Broadbent's accountablity reforms. Remember the NDP budget? Hopefully the FAA will be more successful then that piece of legislation. Sorry to pick on the NDP here, but Pat Martin and Jack Layton are really getting on my nerves lately.
