PM using office for personal gain

This is an outrage! The Prime Minister is using the office of the PMO for his own personal gain! Using the influence of his position, he arranged to get a private meeting that no average Canadian could arrange for himself... with Lord Stanley himself! Appaling!

We now return you to your regular blog reading...

(NOTICE: It's really sad when I have to put a disclaimer on a satirical post... but here it is anyway...)

The reason disclaimers have to be put on satirical posts is to protect oneself. This comes out of a general recognition that there are a lot of stupid people out there who can read, but just not particularly well, and are prone to misunderstand things.

For instance, in my satirical piece about Guelph Bible Chapel, some people from that place missed the entire point about me referencing the reactions of the people to the elders' initiative, and not the elders' initiatives themselves, and just basically stopped paying attention at the "death camp" idea. I know it's a shocking suggestion, but one really has to read everything that's there and not just the blatantly obvious. But apparently that's asking too much of some people.

So, people are morons. I mean, you've seen Joanne post comments on your blog, you ought to know that better than anyone. ;)

But keep up with the satire! Check out www.sportspickle.com and www.theonion.com for some ideas. I'd like to see more people utilizing it in their writing. And double kudos for sending up Stephen Harper; it's even hard for me to totally hammer people/ideas I like in satire, and it takes a lot of guts to try. I'm actually really impressed that that's your first attempt.

AP you know the CPC and Harper specifically, only do things for political gain. Even if it's the right thing to do, it's all for political gain.....
The LPC and the NDP are above all that.....

Great, so he doesn't look scary, but do you really want your PM to look like a guy that you could wedgie to unconsciousness and steal his lunch money from? Thanks, but I'll take scary any day.

Blake - Hey, but at least he can string three words together without uh, um, fundementally, uh, well you see, fundementally etc. etc. etc.

Frankly, I have said from the election that he should wear his glasses more often - after all we all know that the geeky kid from school often grows up to be the head of the corporation - or P.M.!

If he keeps doing the sports events thing, he'll look more average and down-to-earth.

    Alberta call:

Nice slam. Top marks for that one.
