CPC interns and NDP MP's decend on Guelph

Looks like there's going to be a lot of activity over in Guelph this weekend... yesterday, the NDP announced that five MP's will be heading to Guelph for their official campaign launch. (one commenter joked "looks like their entire caucus" was showing up... LOL)

And today, the Conservatives just confirmed that a busload of interns, decked out in the now famous yellow t-shirts, will be working the town for their candidate, Gloria Kovach.

I'll ask again, is this a pre-cursor of things soon to come?

Umm - not a big surprise here. The Liberal MP resigned in March, legally the PM must call a by-election in six months. You can do the math. Expect a three-way race with Kovach coming out on top. (I suspect big fat carbon taxes will fly like a lead balloon in Guelph.)

Oh, those yellow t-shirts will go over like a lead balloon in Guelph. The last thing a Con candidate wants to do in that riding, is draw attention to the environment issue.

I heard Gloria had to close her campaign office, because she couldn't raise any funds locally and the national party didn't want to bankroll it anymore? I guess that explains why they need to busload people in, her grassroots support is ZILCH.

Come on, how else can we get the green house gases we produce to come down??

Companies simply will not do it on their own. People will not do it on their own.

Gov't should and must take the lead if we are going to do anything about it!! In twenty-five years people will be happy the carbon tax is in place.

Where I come from, that is called a visionary.

LOL... nice try Steve... my sources tell me the bank is just fine, and the money is flowing.

I heard that they moved offices because the one they had was snagged way back in time for the supposed Spring election... which Dion backed out of, again.

I hear they're ready to launch their new, and larger, offices real soon...

You know why the T-Shirts are yellow?

Because the CPC are too chicken yellow to discuss other options - they are in panic mode.

With the over-hype trying to convince everyone - it made me curious as to why Harper is so afraid and made me more curious about Dion's plan - the NONE of the CPC know about.

    Why are they so afraid?

The first rule is, don't throw smears that can easily be shown to be false. Your credibility plumments, and you'll need to use a new alias.

As for the office, it didn't close, it moved. You'll find out where later this week, which is when everyone else will find out how wrong you are.
