"NObama"... ouch!

Hey folks, that's not a quote from me... that's from Democrats in the States.

There's a bunch of groups within the Democratic circles popping up, all with one purpose... to voice their opposition to Obama taking the Democratic nomination.

Here's just a few of the logos, t-shirts, and bumperstickers I've seen thus far...

Looks like Obama's in for a rough ride...

Right.. and of course ALL of them are Democrats, right CC? I'd not be surprised if some of them are Republican trollers trying to stir up trouble and dissension for the Dems and trying to get that meme in the press.

Considering Gallup and Rasmussen show Obama opening up a lead on McCain sice he was declared the nominee, I'd suggest that its these so-called anti-Obama "Dems" that will have their work cut out for them.

    Wait a second.

    What are they upset about?

Obama's gonna be a strong candidate.

Surely, people are now gonna start accusing me of being a communist or some such but in the interest of full disclosure, I haven't made up my mind yet about who I want to be the next president.

Both candidates bring a lot of qualities, and drawbacks, to the table. If nothing else, it's going to be an interesting campaign.

Last thing the Dems should be doing is undermining their candidate.

But then again, what do I know, right?

McCain's internal polling has showed the number of Democrats likely to vote for McCain to be 13%; contrast this with 8% of Republicans likely to vote for Obama.

In other words, these people are a lot like leftist hippies on university campuses: a vocal minority that is loud enough to pass for a majority in the minds of some.

    Scott:

Most of the movement is within the margin of error. I rarely make a big deal out of poll motions within the margin of error because statistically speaking its not a good idea.

Moreover, exit polls in many states showed a significant (in some as much as 30%) number of Clinton supporters would vote McCain. So I'd keep an eye on these sorts of people, they might just decide the election.

BCT 2.0: Bush won a similar number of registered Democrats in 2004. But since then the number of Democrats has gone up and the number of Republicans has shrunk. So it might be more significant now.
