Prices have gone up... even on chocolate bars!

Just got a surprise at the cash register moments ago... went to buy a chocolate bar, and handed over my regular $1.10... only to be told it had just gone up to $1.15. The reason? The increase in gas prices.

So, since we know that Dion's Carbon Tax will increase the price at the pumps (due to increased refining and transportation costs, which will be passed down to you), and will be directly applied to diesel, which is used to transport just about everything you buy, a serious question arises... if the cost of a cheap chocolate bar has already gone up by 5%, how devastating will the impact be of Dion's new Carbon Tax on Everything, should he be elected and permitted to implement it?

I can't wait for the dilithium crystal tax and its effect on transporter movements. (Star Trek)

Dions Carbon Tax plan would raise the price of everything, nothing would escape the tax. If it has a price tag, it will go up.

Every business in Canada will feel this tax. The large businesses will simply pass it down to the consumer. Those who cannot do this, because they have a fixed price, will just go out of business.

This tax will not reduce GHG emissions, this tax will only reduce the number of companies doing business in Canada and, at the same time, reduce the amount of money in your personal bank account.

Hey, I know this is a stupid and entirely naive question, but how do you think the Conservatives are going to approach global warming, or climate changes, or what ever you want to call it, without affecting the cost of living in Canada? Is it even close to responsible for the Torries to attack this plan without a realistic plan of their own?

Um, furtney ?. Global Warming/Climate Change, at least as caused by humans, does not exist. Check out this post from Small Dead Animals ==> http://www.smalldeadanimals.com/ Scroll down about 1/3 of the way and read "Global Warming Link-fest". Be sure to check the links out, especially "The 2500".

the trouble is, conservatives don't actually believe climate change is man-made. therefore, no credible plan is required.

No trouble here anon, you see, Conservatives are not lemmings, we do not ask "How High?" when an overweight, Jim Jones wannabe, makes a movie and tells the world to jump.

We do not take the advice of a so called "scientist" who lectures politicians on the right and praises anything the left does in Canada.

And then, takes his carbon spewing bus back to Vancouver to one of his three homes.

You see anon, we think about how our actions will effect all Canadians. Not just those that we might be able to buy a vote from.
