Gotta watch out for those pesky young Tories

You never know where those fun loving young Tory whiper-snappers are going to turn up... right Mr. Dryden?

Oh, you folks don't even know half of all the fun and games from today... this one's just a tease. I'm waiting for more details on a bit of a party crash that occured today, and I'm REALLY hoping the video turned out...

As they say... "Stay tuned, film at 11".

UPDATE: Welcome Liberals! You know, some guys really need to lighten up... it was a harmless campaign prank guys. Guess I need a disclaimer or something... "No Liberals were harmed in the taking of this photo"

I think I can top that...

When I met Stephen Harper at the Fergus Truck Show in 2005 (Mike Chong was driving, what a way to treat your MP), I wanted to see if he had a sense of humour. I'd heard he didn't, but I'm the type to find these things out for myself.

So, I met him at the gate, wearing my tory blue dress shirt. I had a political cartoon where Harper was the butt of the joke. I wanted to see if he'd autograph it.

As I handed it to him, I used a little small-talk to keep his eyes off the piece. By the time he signed it and gave it back to me, he had seen it and shot me the DIRTIEST look I've ever seen.

There you have it my fellow commenters, Stephen Harper has no sense of humour.

Being a nuisance can be fun!!

So, Mike, if I wore a t-shirt that made you look like an idiot, you'd smile at me? If you like being a nuisance, then I would suggest that you have no friends and cannot hold down a job. I feel for you and will pray for you.

If I were campaigning to be Prime Minister, I would smile at EVERYBODY. THAT was my point. Maybe too many dirty looks is why you guys ONLY got a minority.

    Food for thought

    Hey CC,

The point of my picture wasn't to compare aesthetics. The point was that anyone can play gotcha.

Erin (and I and the other members of the Ontarion team that were there that night)was media, and since you were "actually just feet away," I'm sure you'll recall that the media were restricted to a small area in the centre of the hall so long as the PM was in the room.

Furthermore, and to wit, the pics were supposed to be for "party supporters" and I remember getting the bum's rush from PMO staffers right after his speech. Besides, I seriously doubt that anyone wearing a "Harper [fill in pejorative here]" t-shirt would have made it anywhere near the stage area. As opposed to the picture of Mr. Sona with Mr. Dryden, which looks like it was taken amidst the proper hustle and bustle of a political event, in the middle of a crowd somewhere.

Keep up the good work though. And they say Conservatives don't have a sense of humour...

Adam, Mr. Dion didn't take pictures with anyone at the event. He was escorted out with a wall of RCMP officers. I only happened to see Dryden leaving unescorted (just like Conservative MPs, mind you) and figured that second best is better than nothing.

Btw...I don't remember them doing a conservative card check at the PM's event, so I am curious as to how they distinguished a Harper supporter from the rest of the crowd? Maybe the RCMP read Judges chapter 12, and pulled a "shibboleth" on us? :)
