DION PRESSES THE BUTTON & GOES NUCLEAR

I can't believe it, but the Liberals have gone and done it again... looks like it's "Soldiers with Guns... Part II"

By far, this has got to be the most negative political ad ever seen here in Canada.  Talk about desperation... pulling out the Bush card a full week and a half ahead of schedule?  Under normal circumstances, they'd have held off on this one until the final week, give the Tories no time to respond.  But after getting trounced in the polls for weeks, they've gone ahead and pulled out the WMD's of political ads now.

This is going to backfire HUGE. Especially considering their own deputy leader was on the same page!

Mr. Dion?  You said you were going to take "the high road".

This ad says you're a liar.  And I don't use strong language like that often.

Dion can't run on his Green Shift or on anything else on his plant.

Fear and smear is all he has left, but Canadians won't be fooled this time.

Meh, it smacks of desperation. Particularly the hysterical voice over. Lol. This is a ad from the last campaign, it seems out of place in this one.

I can't remember the name if the book, but it came out just before or after Chretien's memoirs.
The author stated that Chretien misled Canadians, he did not say 'no' to Bush, because Bush never asked....

Don't worry they don't have the money to air it, they are depending on the blogsphere to get it out there, just like today, all that free advertising for the Liberals. It would have cost them millions to air the Harper/Howard ad, but the media did it for them.

Again, is the ad accurate? I was under the impression that Harper was for the invasion of Iraq.

Either way, it is still no more negative than the various Conservative ads attacking Dion (and is a lot less annoying. Have you seen the slot machine ad? That was embarrassing to watch, it was so badly made).

I must say that I am thoroughly disgusted with the "Gotcha" politics and negativity of this election.

This ad and the phony "Plagiarism" are just the latest in a long string of Liberal "High Road" politics.
