Hey bird brain, you have a death wish?

So I'm getting into the car today to head off to chapel, and what do I see? A wild turkey running down the road... On Thanksgiving!

My wife goes, "Looks like someone ordered a fresh one!". Either that, or dinner got away...

Thank God you were talking about an actual bird. If you were talking about one of your fellow man, I would be concerned.

    The title was intentional. ;-)

Maybe you could give me some advice on something, CC. I have two Christian brothers who are strangely interested in Conservative politics and would like to attend an event of some sort. We all live in the Peel region.

As a Liberal, I don't think it is my place to guide them in that direction, however as a Christian I can't deny a fellow brother's search for knowledge about the world if I am in a place to help them out. So I was wondering what you would do in a similar situation.

The story and picture are awesome. Though I must say: of all of the Turkey's in the neighbourhood, at that place and time... I think the one in your picture is the smart one. He probably woke up this morning and looked at his (Canadian) calendar. Did you see where he went or what happened to him? If he survives... I'd be worried about what that means for us human beings (in terms of natural selection). Not because of my knowledge of Darwin so much as my acquaintance with Hitchcock (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0056869/).

    Hey TopCan,

I've always advised people to do the research... going to events is a great way to do that. On that note, I've gone to Liberal, NDP, and even Green events, with an honest intent to learn more for myself, rather than have others filter it for me. During past election campaigns, I've always tried to make it a point to go to each of the campaign offices, and at least give the candidates a fair listen... which is why I almost voted Green in the last Provincial election, and did in fact vote for one Liberal candidate in a Federal election.

The best way for them to hear about these things is to get in contact with the local riding association, in this case, the Peel CPC EDA. They don't necessarily need to take out a membership (although for the $10, they'd get more access to events and such, if they really want to get a feel for things... maybe even split the cost and have just one join!) but by getting in touch, they can at least get on the mailing list, and then might get some invites to events.

That's the best way I can think of.
