I don't think Iggy would cause an election, I bet PM Harper would invite one, even with the Summits on the go. I'm sure it could be used to the Conservative advantage.

Isn't this the 3rd time he's made that pathetic claim?

One should read Newswatch Canada and peruse the latest trick by Duceppe, sending 1600 letters on HofC letterhead to elected officials and businesses around the world, saying within a few years Quebec will be its own nation. Who in their right mind would vote for a coalition with these traitors.
As far as Jack is concerned, he is dreaming if he thinks he can blackmail the PM, to put the NDP platform into place to keep his job. Yes, he got Martin to rewrite the budget, and Trudeau and Chretian made deals to stay in power.
Gee, today Iggy is threatening to withhold money for the summit if documents re the barbarians are not released.
I imagine he is ignoring the fact they hung a 7 yr old boy, and blew up a wedding party.
But, it is only Saturday, by Monday he will have flipflopped for the umpteenth time.
Bring on an election to put lib/ndp out of their misery. A majority for PMSH, what a Christmas present.

Before the fall sitting the PM will have appointed another Senator and a new GG. The summits will have a success and Toronto will be enjoying the economic spin off of same.
What if the PM recalls the House, about July 15, instead of the long summer vacation. Iggy will be on his bus somewhere in Canada. Or he will be in France e-mailing his resignation to cbc.

Does he still take himself seriously ? Or is he just going through the motions , sort of . The guys been shooting blanks for a year or more . Like if you keep waving a stick in the air , sooner or later everybody realises it's just a dead piece of wood.

People can say whatever they want about Harper not having achieved a majority yet.
I think it's been quite deliberate.
If he had gotten one on the last attempt then the libs would have had four years to properly rebuild.
Instead, he's rope a doped them by keeping them in a perpetual state of campaign readiness.
They waste their resources daily thinking they might have a shot at the brass ring.
When Harper decides to go to the polls next I do believe he'll get his majority.
And then incrementalism is out the window.
The long view has been to gain control of the senate.
    Then a majority.
And with no impediments left to legislative ability we will finally be rewarded with the fiscally conservative government that we have been waiting for.
And when it works, when proper economic stewardship and smaller government makes us all more prosperous, he might even get another majority.
And all without taking a walk in the snow.

Laurier stated you can only be canadian if your loyalty is to and in canada and that anyone who has a stronger loyalty than to canada cannot be canadian! I agree!
