Iffy on the Budget: "You shall not pass!!!"

LOL, another Lord of the Rings adaptation that perfectly captures the Canadian political scene...

I'm keeping a daily eye on this guy's channel now...

You know, if you keep goofing on Ignatieff like this, people are going to completely forget that Harper's reckless spending has given us a record deficit and yet nothing to show for it. You people need to set your standards higher.

    Liberal Anon,
Chretien and Martin raided the EI fund of $54 Billion from 2001-2005,
    to post fake surplus's,
so the cupboard was bare when the economic crisis hit.

The Coalition of Losers would have racked up a bigger deficit with their EI-360 and various billion dollar social programs,
    and Canadians know that.

    Hey Christian Conservative,
Are you resubmitting your resolution that you presented at the convention in Winnipeg? Is there any way I could get in touch with you on this?

    Thanks,

    Wondering

    "fake surpluses"?

Hard to fake a $13,000,000 surplus, which is exactly what Harper inherited from Paul Martin's Liberals. This surplus was squandered by Harper long before the economic crisis hit, so you can rule that out as a factor in it's disappearance. And what do we have to show for this? I'm waiting...

Hummm, where did the surpluses go indeed...

Several billion to correct the shameful cuts to provincial transfer payments, which fund things like Healthcare, under the previous Paul Martin budgets.

Several more billion to re-equip a dilapidated military, thanks to ever increasing cuts by the, wait for it... Paul Martin Finance Dept.

Ensuring that ALL parents receive some form of assistance for the costs of raising kids, instead of just a select few that the liberal elites deem "worthy" of support.

Reducing our overall tax burden, namely the GST and income taxes, which has already saved me thousands of dollars... the GST, which if you'll recall, the Liberals, including MP Paul Martin, were committed to scrapping.

Further reducing our overall corporate tax burden, thus ensuring that Canada is a strong contender in which multinational corporations will want to invest... which, by the way, is working quite nicely during this economic downturn.

Finally, ensuring that all new program spending is TIME LIMITED, unlike the Paul Martin Liberals... for whom everything was a "top priority", and thus created dozens of new permanently funded programs. So, much of the new spending initiatives undertaken by the Harper government will come off the books once the programs mandate is complete, thus returning further revenues to the government coffers.

Overall, a much fiscally stronger nation, one which could afford to weather the economic storm we're currently facing. I shudder to think of where we'd have been had the Liberals had somehow managed win the 2006 election.

I shudder to think where we'd be as a country right now if it weren't for the Liberals bailing us out every time they take over from a failed Conservative government which has saddled us with another big debt.
It's history, your lies change nothing. Nice try though.
