Calling all bloggers for comment

Interesting story from various sources today... First there was "Tory MPs rebel against Prime Minister's Office control", then "Backbench revolt the closest thing to a revolution Harper’s seen yet", and now "Conservative caucus mutiny".

Fellow bloggers, DM me (@ChristianConsrv) if you'd like to chat... or you can e-mail me at cc[at]christianconservative[dot]ca as well, or look me up on Facebook.

Seems we have a lot to discuss...

PM Harper made a promise to all Canadians,
as long as he is PM, abortion is off the table.period.

These MPs exercised their freedom of speech and went public.
Fine, but it will not change PMSHs resolve to not reopen the abortion issue.
    Promise kept.
It makes for interesting reading though.

Hey Wilson... it's not "the issue" that is the issue... it's the sin of ignoring the voices of a growing number of MP's and members. On NOT just this issue, but a HOST of other ones.

I'm hearing a LOT of discontent on many fronts... this appears to just be the latest symptom of a larger issue.

Agree, or no? What are you hearing these days?

Two issues can bring the Harper govt to its knees, SSM and Abortion. I know its not right, I know its not fair, and, I know its not what Democracy is about, but, there are certain ugly truths and this is one of them. There are many in the MSM just waiting for a chance to jump at anything any Con MP says about Abortion. Progressives are not progressive, they do not want discussion or debate, they want to win, and, as we've seen with Rob Ford, will go to great lenghts to win, so, why give them the opportunity? The debate on selective abortion will happen, but, it cant happen now, it would destroy the CPC's chances of winning another majority. Its just that simple.

The last parliament saw liberal mps vote against the so called women's health funding in foreign aid. This is an issue that while I don't believe has grown larger so much as it has become more vocal. I think there has always been a large majority, not 100% against abortion entirely, but against its public funding. I think that message is now finally reaching the halls of parliament. It might not be Harper that takes action on the file. It may be his predecessor.

    Hi CC,
the muzzled MPs could make their point on an issue that is not in defiance of PMSHs resolve to not reopen the abortion issue.....but they didn't.

So what are these 'other fronts' of discontent? No reports from the Toronto Star on any other issues.
And do you really think internal discussions should be aired in the media?
The Opps are mocking and ridiculing PMSH over this, if that was the MPs goal they succeeded.

The PMO is very controlling, I understand that.
Look what happened to our Wildrose party when there was no message control.

I joined the conservative movement to get rid of special interest groups dictating government policy.

PMSH will keep his promise to Canadians, and not allow the abortion issue to be reopened, even thru the back door like this.

Are you FREAKING serious BCL? Like, are you really so moronic that you've missed like EVERY single statement I've ever made on the subject?

Honestly, I had far more respect for you than that BCL. HAD, past tense.

    Rogue or Fool?

    As I said ...
I feel no sympathy for this fool.

I also completely understand why his juvenile antics appeal so much to the clowns in opposition and to the slavering morons in the media. Mark Warawa is "one of theirs". He is an entitled and attention seeking clown who is out of his depth in serious matters and seeks to bring the discussion down to his own pathetic level of understanding. He panders to the unthinking and irresponsible for no other reason than to appear to be a person of import.

He is not a person of import.

Was just wondering if you're planning on using your illegal tactics to help influence the provincial election as well?

First of all, I reject the premise of your question... moron.

Secondly, I did actually answer your question... I pointed out that your comment was A) idiotic, B) uneducated, C) slanderous, and D) cowardly.

    Emphasis on item C.
